Windowns vista com ploter antiga

Caros colegas, muito bom dia.

Tenho, desde há algum tempo, uma ploter HP DesignsJet 450C.

Nunca tive problemas com a impressão, até ao momento em que decidi comprar um computador com o Windows Vista. Desde então, verifiquei que não haviam drivers compativeis desta ploter com o Vista e a empresa que me vendeu o PC trouxe-me um aparelho (marca EDIMAX) para que fosse possivel a compatibilidade instalando-se o driver de uma ploter similar.

Acontece que nos primeiros tempos conseguia imprimir desenhos, mas, desde há uns tempos para cá, tenho vindo a ter problemas. Por vezes faço as actualizações do Windows e por vezes lá coonsigo imprimir, mas logo a seguir deixo novamente de o conseguir

Alguém me pode dar uma opinião, para ver se soluciono isto?

Volta para o XP, ou tens que esperar que a hp tenha os drives (pode nunca vir a ter, já me aconteceu na epson).

Relamente, também já pensei nessa opção.

No entanto, já gastei dinheiro para ter esta licença e agora voltar a gastar para ter licença para o XP

Acabei de fazer actualização ao windows, tendo sido instalado o service pack 2, mas o problema persiste.

Vou mesmo ter que fazer um downgrade e instalar novamente o Windows XP.

I had the same problem. New HP desktop computer with VISTA, and my not-so-old, reliable HP 450C. After much frustration, I found a solution. I purchased a PCI parallel port from LavaLink (www.lavalink.com) for about $75 including courier shipping. I installed my not-so-old Windows XP driver (pl532en.exe), installed the Lava parallel port, connected the 450C, starter my computer - and presto, VISTA recognized the new parallel port and installed it - then recognized the 450C as new hardware and installed it. I am now happily plottting from VISTA.

I have a 450c printer with a jetdirect print server connected to a netgear
wireless router . I access this printer from a xp home laptop and a vista ultimate laptop.
I installed the pl532en.exe driver from the HP site on both laptops and it works like a champ.

Download Microsoft Virtual PC, set up a virtual pc on your vista system and load Windows XP or earlier on it. Network your virtual non-Vista pc with your Vista pc and load your software onto the virtual pc. This will not work if your pc does not have a parallel port because Microsoft Virtual PC does not support USB. Other software applications for creating virtual computers do support USB, so investigate which program will work for your system configuration.

When this is all done you will still not be able to plot to the 450c from vista, but you will be able to plot from the same desktop system.

Olá Blackangel.

No meu caso acabei por resolver, tal como está descrito na solução 1, colocando uma porta paralela. Tinha um print server, mas não estava a resultar
